Something for both of us...

During Christmas, every year, there is always this thing called a Christmas party. Every year, I see couples in a game called "How well do you know each other?" or something to that same effect.

In this game he sits behind her, and they're both asked the same question. The write down their answer on different pieces of paper. If their answer is the same, well then the couple gets a point.

Stay with me, I'm getting somewhere with this illustration.

Anyway, the most frequent question that never fails to appear, is what is your partners favourite song? Which of course means, write down the song that you both know and like.

That's where "your song" for a couple comes in.

Every couple needs a song that they can call their own. You know, one thing that can symbolizes their whole relationship together. It's almost as important as an anniversary date.

Since me and the Guy have already agreed on our anniversary date, we decided that it's time to have our own song.

We're both very sappy people. Get over it.

Unfortunately, we have different tastes when it comes to music. It's not that I hate what he likes, it's just that I have other preferences on what our song together is going to be.

The Guy happens to like Brintey Spears and Lindsey Lohan. I don't mind. Honest. I actually for one find that quite adorable. Sure, not many guys like pop-ish, girly techno music. I actually find that refreshing that he's not interested in the usual songs that most guys like.

I mean it's either rap or rock nowadays. You're either a gangsta' interested in money and girls or you're a rocker who is depressed most of the time because things don't go your way.

Anyway, before I get off the point... our song, has got to be perfect. It has got to be something we both really like. Please, let it be something really good and sappy.
